MAKARSKA
Makarska is a mid-dalmatian town 60 km away from Split. It is located below the mountain Biokovo (Sveti Jure 1762 m). According to the census from 2001. Makarska has a population of 13,381, and today Makarska has more than 15,000 thousand people. Makarska is situated in a natural harbor, which closed two peninsulas, Osejava and the peninsula of St.Peter. "Makarska Riviera" is a known name which indicates a number of tourist sites with Makarska in the center. On the western side are Brela, Baska Voda, Promajna, Bratuš, and on the east Tucepi, Podgora, Drašnice, Igrane, Živogošće, Drvenik, Zaostrog, Podaca, Brist and Gradac. Taken together this is one of the most beautiful areas in the Adriatic. All listed sites have beaches that are among the most beautiful in the Adriatic.
